Spanish students comments

During the Erasmus+ meeting in Spain, all the pupils had to complete a journal of the experience and these are some of the comments made by Spanish pupils:

"I am so nervous!! The Swedish students are coming to Spain. They arrive at 5:00 am aproximately, so I can’t sleep anything. I am excited and I think that they are excited too. I hope they have fun this week and enjoy too much."

"They arrived at 6, It was unexpected because we thought they would arrive later and the teacher wasn’t there yet. We didn’t know what to do in that moment. When they got off the bus we just said hello, we were nervous so I made a little mistake, when the boy asked me “how are you?”, I answered “yes!” and we all started laughing."

"At 8:30 I went to the high school and we all started doing activities for the Project we had two breaks and the swedish students were surprised with so many people. At 12:40 we went to city hall and mayor welcomed them"
"We ate churros, cake… our swedish Friends like churros a lot they had never tried it "
"We have received them with an Erasmus + banner and with all the high school students at the door."

"In the evening, some of us went to the radio to have an interview. I have never been on a radio station, it was kind of weird, but we laughed a lot. "
"In the evening we went fishing to a very good place for fishing and Filip caught a pike."
"The Swedish students went back to their homes and we had a normal day of classes. I was very sad; I didn’t want this experience to end. I wish I can see them again soon, I’m going to miss them. I feel really pleased for had have this experience, meeting a lot of people and improving my English and my friendship with my classmates. "
"I would repeat this experience millions of time".
"It was an unforgettable experience and I hope to see them again."
"I hope to see the Swedish in the future, it was the best experience of my life."

"This project has helped us make new Friends and improve our English a lot."

"We had an amazing week, in Spain and in Sweden, too. This experience was incredible."

Evaluation forms

After the meeting in Spain last week, it's time to evaluate the whole experience. We have sent an evaluation form to teachers, Swedish parents, Swedish students, Spanish parents and Spanish students. The forms have been designed by using Google Drive and we have used the system of school communication Rayuela in Spain and Unikum in Sweden to send them.
Evaluation is a very important part of the process to see the effectiveness of the work done.

Meeting in Spain, Tuesday 28th November

Today we had outdoor activities in Puerto Peña, which is one of the reservoirs near Talarrubias. There are some reasons why cranes choose Extremadura, one is the water in reservoirs, also the mild climate and of course the food (acorns). So today we went on a hike and saw the beautiful landscape with acorn trees from the top of the mountain. Then we had ham and tomato toast and churros for breakfast and we had the chance to go on a boat ride. A little bit of rain didn't stop us!
Then we had the farewell ceremony at school and all the pupils got a diploma. In the evening we had pizza night for everyone.

So this week come to an end... We had such a wonderful time together and we hope to see each other in the future.

Meeting in Spain, Monday 27th November

When visiting Extremadura, Mérida is a must. So today we visited the capital of the region which was declared a World Heritage Site in 1993 by Unesco for its Roman archaelogical remains. We learnt that Mérida was the most important city of the Roman Empire in Hispania and there are still monuments that prove that like the theatre, the amphitheatre and the circus. We also visited the Roman bridge and the aqueduct. Mérida was among the nine most powerful cities in the world in the fourth century. It was very interesting to learn about gladiators, quadrigas(chariots), classical drama, water supply to Roman cities and so on.

We did not only that, we also had an interview at the Extremadura radio channel to talk about our Erasmus+ project, so Elin S, Elin J, Yolanda, Paula and Natalia talked about this experience on the live programme "El sol sale por el Oeste".
