Meeting in Spain, Friday 24th November

Today we had a busy day at school. Three different workshops where the pupils were working together in mixed groups and they did an excellent job!

We started with two groups early in the morning from 8:25 until 10:15. The first activity was a leaflet about the western route of the common crane. Then they learnt about an application of augmented reality that the pupils will use to enrich some of the activities of the project as they are the leaflet and the graphs in maths.

After a short break of 15 minutes at school they had the second workshop from 10:30 to 12:15, they finished the dichotomous key of the common crane, another activity for the project. They not only learnt about the crane but also about other birds. Very interesting!

Another 20 minutes break and we had a reception at the town hall with the mayor. We thank them for the attention and the present the Swedish pupils and teacher got from them.
And to finish, the history teacher had prepared a treasure hunt in English to visit the main monuments in town. The weather was nice and the pupils had to walk a little bit so at the end of the school day they were all tired. Some of them got lost...:)...but we have a winning group who completed the following sentence: "The world is a book and those who don't travel read only one page".

This evening also some of the teachers and pupils had an interview at the local radio. It was a good opportunity to spread out the news about this second meeting and the project again.

Tomorrow more...
